Personal Development – Lesson Seven
Our perceptions of reality and subconscious programming bind us to the human experience
This lesson brings into focus lessons one, three and five.
In these lessons, the student was asked to practice visualizing new future realities. These realities being built from our highest human traits because they are the foundation for personal growth and enhancement in quality of life. Focusing on these focal points has allowed many to realize, for the first time in their lives, that they are greater beings than they could ever imagine. They may have also learned that there are always more choices and options available to every set of environmental conditions they will experience if they remain calm and receptive to them. The choices and options are always based upon the focus of our thoughts and the control of our emotions. The thoughts that are scanned by the subconscious are what it uses to build portions of our perceptions of reality and that which we experience on a daily basis. This in turn influences and impacts all future triggers and responses we create that add meaning and value to our lives and that of others.
These exercises and techniques give the student new skills, tools, and abilities while developing enhanced consciousness awareness. All of this allows the student to realize that they, and only they, get to define who and what they are. Granted they are aware of this fact. Here, they can also learn that because there are options and choices, they can question their and other’s perceptions of reality to establish what is true, meaningful and applicable to them. This enables more sound reasoning to make better decisions and create better outcomes.
This entire course has been about enhancing the quality of your life by enhancing the quality of your thoughts. All the while, discovering there is a whole universe of possibilities and potential waiting for you to experience. Further enriching your life and the life of those around you. You’ve already seen it play out for yourself. The road never ends. There’s always more room to grow.
To restate something from the main page of the website:
“Fundamental truth is, no matter who you are or where you’re from, we are all related. We are made of the same recycled cosmic elements. Regardless of our origin, we all breathe the same recycled air and drink the same recycled water. We navigate and share the same sea of hyper-intelligent energy that is the universe. At the end of the day, our lives are truly defined by the quality of our relationships, thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and subconscious automated memory responses. This also determines our perceptions of reality.
The human adventure is about internal and external exploration. The objective is to discover how to create and maintain meaningful and respectful relationships with ourselves, others, and nature. Our journey is also about the pursuit of happiness and fulfilling meaningful purposes, whatever is most meaningful to you. As well, learning how to create and share loving and memorable experiences with others.”
It is my hope that Mankind evolves to discover it is part of a supportive universal family. It has never been alone, simply given space to discover itself. It is not fear alone that binds the species to what appears as perpetual ignorance, but a lack of knowledge in the mechanics of its biology. Simply put, if you’ve had poor driver’s education, you’re going to have a harder time navigating the streets and adjusting to the respectful rules of the road. However, that all changes with a desire for a better quality of life and the open-minded ability to be more honest with yourself.
Our perceptions of reality and subconscious programming bind us to the human experience
This lesson has 2 parts.
First, you are asked to evaluate the progress of your visualization of the best version of you.
In this lesson, go over all your notes associated with personal growth, improvements in attitude, self-respect, confidence and competence, self-worth, and the positive responses you have received from others.
As you review this large volume of results and information, please keep in mind you made all of this happen. You did all the heavy lifting. You have always had the capability to create and modify your perceptions of reality, it was simply whether you knew it or not. While we may not understand events from our past that were beyond our control; devastating, unfair, tragic, and unreasonable, there is no blame, no one to criticize, and no one to fault. All of humanity has been dealt the same hand, just with some variations. The truth is, humanity is built from the same template repeated in eight billion people (currently). Other than those who were born with debilitating genetic abnormalities, we all function and are controlled by the same automated mechanics.
This is where dysfunctional generational subconscious programming comes into play. To paraphrase something from a previous lesson to drive this point, “humans from thousands of generations ago were dealing with the same dysfunctional and destructive social behaviors we are learning to overcome today.” So does it really make sense to get upset about people thousands of years ago who passed down all these dysfunctional and destructive behaviors? NO, it doesn’t. It makes no more sense than hating yourself for sharing all of your dysfunctional programmed behaviors with others before you started this course. One thing is for sure, you are not the same person who started this course seven weeks ago or more. You are forever changed by this experience for the better. As a result, you will never go back to the adolescent perceptions of reality regardless of your age. Now take the time to carefully consider: Where will you go from here?
The second part is an exercise that requires you to plan out what you want to occur each day for the next seven days.
Your objective is to start with a shortlist of 4 things you want to perform or experience the first day. Do your best to make them happen around a predetermined time.
Each day add one more item you want to perform or experience on your daily list.
The objective here is for the student to experience just how much the quality of conscious willpower behind our thoughts influence the creation of our present and future reality.
As usual, keep your notebook handy to track any undesirable automated thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that appear to distract, limit, and sabotage your efforts. Then work through the notebook exercise to remove those triggers from your life.
This course is meant to be used for the next few years. It is strongly recommended that you finish this course now, take a month break, then revisit it again. Just like how you can notice new things in a great book or piece of music the more you immerse yourself in it, there are things you’ll continue to discover through this course for the rest of your life.
As with any skill set that improves the more you practice and use it this definitely applies the exercises and techniques in this course. 60 days is only the beginning of an incredible personal journey that leads to a better quality of life, ever-improving relationships, better mental, emotional and physical health, prosperity, and more consistent peace of mind.
Have a great week.
